BIOGRAPHY
Jamie grew up on a typical inner city London council estate with a single parent and one sibling, dealing with the harsh reality of the ongoing struggle that single parent and single working parent families face. Certain sacrifices had to be made for Supa Jme to try to fulfil his dreams of becoming an actor. He attended many drama workshops, and was accepted into a Sylvia Young summer school in 1997. He also completed a workshop at the Young Vic Theatre in central London. During two spells at the Bridewell Theatre Company in Fleet Street, London, Jamie was a member of the cast of a play called 'End of the Affair', and also acted in 'Eyam' alongside Tom Fletcher, now of McFly. Jamie was briefly involved in a few adverts and modelling campaigns, including Christmas adverts for Sainsburys in '98 and an impression of the late Tommy Cooper for Michael Barrymore's 'Kids say the funniest things'. In 2011 Supa Jme performed for Open Mic UK at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, reaching the area final at The Willows in Manchester. In January 2012 he appeared in a two-part TV programme on Sky channel 201 Showcase. |
