BIOGRAPHY
Joyanne is a multi-talented singer/songwriter from St. Thomas, Barbados. After relocating, she has split her time between NYC and Montreal, Canada. Joyanne prides herself on being an individual in a music industry that has seen a lot of the same in recent years. With her wide range of styles she is comfortable in many musical situations, whether it be hip hop, pop, R&B, reggae or dance-hall. Her love for all types of music keeps her ear fresh and focused on creative and inspirational ideas, while allowing her to collaborate with artists from any genre. Joyanne's collaborations in 2009 contributed to a local single/video in Montreal entitled 'What U Wanna Do'. She continues to collaborate with talented local artists/producers and studios around Montreal and NYC. Joyanne is focused on maintaining and producing great music, and is working hard to release a slew of new solo singles and collaborations. Stay on the look out for this fresh and talented artist as she carves out her home in this ever-evolving music industry.
Joyanne shot her first solo video in 2010 for a track called 'Be Free'. In 2011 she released the track 'ForeFathers' and followed up with a video by Labnoise Films. Last summer she also released another video in collaboration with Black Rosary called 'Deep Pain'. Stay tuned for her next single and video, also shot by Labnoise, tilted 'When Angels Make You Cry'. Joyanne shows no sign of slowing down and will push hard to take her career to the next level. |
