Trevor Sax and the sax3
Sax3 is a group comprising Legendary artists, Daddy Colonel, Senior Sandy, Papa Levi - all of which hail from the legendary saxon Soundsystem crew - best known for being the first UK soundsystem to win an international competition and also being where three artists who went on to achieve UK Top Forty hits first came to prominence.
Saxon Studio International began operating in Lewisham, South London in 1976.
The sound came to prominence in the early 80s because of the "fast chat" style which was pioneered by its deejay Peter King. Other Saxon MCs included Tippa Irie, Smiley Culture, Asher Senator, Papa Levi, Daddy Colonel, Daddy Rusty and Daddy Sandy all of whom developed this style and went on to release records, some (such as Smiley and Tippa) achieving Top 40 hits in the UK national chart.
In 1994, Saxon became the first UK soundsystem to win the World Clash.
Trevor Sax & Saxon Sound continues to play internationally, including an annual outing at London's Notting Hill Carnival. Their style has influenced artists such as Massive Attack (who invited them to play at the 2008 Meltdown festival which they curated) and The Bug (who has collaborated with Tippa Irie and Saxon selector Trevor Sax).

Bizzy B
- Bizzy B’s Brain label was one of the most futuristic in the early days when hardcore was becoming jungle. From 92-94 they released some of the best junglistic’ardcore there was. Classics like Darkness, Weekend, Dubplate Wars, 2 Dope ep, and artists like TDK whose TOG sublabel was a peak of amen choppage. Brain also put out the debut releases of Marc Caro (Technical Itch), Peshay and DJ Zinc (in the Swift and Zinc eps) and Slammin’ Vinyl’s Mike Slammer and Red Alert’s first 2 releases. Bizzy also released many a classic on other labels such as Slowjam & DarkIII on Whitehouse, Stamina and Raw Dogs Relik on Suburban Base and many more. He’s recently been producing 2-step and Breaks with his Undercover Agents label and still releases drum’n’bass under “Warped Science” (latest being ‘After F’ on Charge with DJ Fresh on the same ep). Brian’s ep is a new update of the Old Skool sound — “New Old School” if you will. this is gonna be off tha hook :)

Randall:
Randall’s career took off with his legendary sets at AWOL and World Dance. He established himself as one of the elite of the emerging drum & bass scene, with an impeccable reputation behind the turntables that he has maintained to this day. Although not a prolific producer, his discography is littered with classics, not least his collaboration with Andy in 1995, ‘Roll On’, which remains a huge tune to this day. Randall launched his own label in 1997, Mac II Recordings, which featured several of his own collaborative productions with Cool Hand Flex. The label is still active, with some exciting new music in the pipeline, whilst he is also heavily involved with new label J-Tek Records, a new imprint set up to release music that evokes the dance music of the early 90s before restrictive pigeonholes begun to be enforced. Over two decades since he started spinning tunes, Randall remains a forward thinking musician and DJ. Randall is an unofficial resident at Friction’s Shogun Audio here at The End, where he can still regularly be found tearing up the main room like it’s 1995.
