BIOGRAPHY
David (D-MAN) Escobar was born in Mexico City, Mexico. This multi-talented artist started rapping on the streets of Houston TX and in schools and local clubs, forming the street rap group THA F.B.I (Frustrated Brown Individuals). Though he has been in the industry co-writing songs, movies and TV and radio commercials for over 10 years, D-MAN's journey has just begun. A member of the Latin rap group AXSION, D-MAN also has his solo project to show the world.
He has shared the stage with artists such as Mystical (No Limit Records), The Hot Boys (Cash Money Records), SPM (South Park Mexican, Dope House Records) and Scarface (Rap-A-Lot Records), and has been involved in studio sessions with artists including The Hot Boys and The Outlaws.
D-MAN's talents range from writer, producer and artist into TV and film. He is the on-location host of the TV episodes 'Cops vs. Cruisers' from the FOX Files series and appeared in the film 'Tin Cup' alongside Kevin Costner. D-MAN played the role of a reporter in the film 'King of the World' about Muhammad Ali, and was a co-star in the educational film 'Safer Choices II'. Just recently he featured on the TV show 'Despierta America' on Univision for the special 'Selena Vive', about the world-famous artist Selena.
D-MAN performed with Aventura at the Megaton 2 (Nov. 2005, Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion), where artists like the internationally famous Ricky Martin, Pit Bull, Tego Calderon, Angel Y Khriz, Cabas, Julio Voltio, Big Boy, Wysin Y Yandel, Nicky Jam, Alexis Y Fido and Grupo Climaxx also appeared (video available). D-MAN's song 'La Fiestah' featured on the soundtrack of the Sam Mendez film 'Jarhead' (collector's edition), starring Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx. D-MAN was also the opening act of the biggest show of 2006 - 'The Latin Live Super Show' (Mega 101 FM) - which also featured Noriega, Optimo, Xtreme, Rigo Luna, Don Abusivo and Toby Love of Aventura.
D-MAN Escobar has his resume filled with many projects and many goals as he begins his long journey. One of them is for you to hear his music, the biggest one is for you to one day count him as one of your favourite artists.
